The Mandala is an ancient and sacred symbol of the universe. Classically in the form of a circle (the Cosmos) enclosing a square (Earthbound matter). Mandalas are used for meditation, contemplation
, healing and visual pleasure. The following
mandalas are from my Manjorandala portfolio that began in January 1999.
Each
of my mandalas is a ‘one only’. There are no prints or
reproductions made. They are hand painted in mixed media on watercolour
paper with no computer aided designs or programs used. They come to me
intuitively, and that is how they are created. I feel each mandala has a
unique personality of its own and the person who chooses to have that
mandala is resonating with it perfectly.
